Be The Other
Be The Other began as a passion project and quickly evolved into a fully realised accessories brand built around one simple idea: helping people express their individuality and transform their outfits through beautifully designed, multi wear accessories.
Creating the products was only part of the journey. My role was to build an entire brand experience that people could connect with, from the identity and creative direction through to photography, campaigns, retail and events.
The accessories market is highly competitive, so simply creating beautiful products wasn't enough.
I wanted Be The Other to stand for something bigger. The brand needed to inspire confidence, creativity and self expression, while encouraging people to see accessories differently. Rather than buying more, I wanted customers to discover new ways to transform and rewear the clothes they already owned.
Every touchpoint needed to reinforce this story and create an emotional connection with the audience.

My Approach
From day one, I approached Be The Other as more than a fashion brand. It became an opportunity to build a complete visual world.
I developed the brand strategy, visual identity and creative direction to ensure every collection felt consistent while allowing space for new ideas and creative exploration. Visual storytelling became central to the brand, creating campaigns that focused less on products in isolation and more on how they could empower personal style.
Each collection was designed around a narrative, influencing everything from colour palettes and photography concepts to styling, campaign messaging and social content.
Bringing It To Life
As Founder and Creative Director, I led every aspect of the brand's creative development.
I designed collections of handmade brooches and silk scarves, carefully considering how each piece could be styled in different ways to encourage creativity and versatility.
Alongside product design, I directed every campaign from concept through to execution, producing moodboards, creative briefs, styling concepts and shot lists before overseeing photography, art direction and image selection.
I created visual content across digital and print, managed social media campaigns featuring styling tutorials, product launches and behind the scenes content, and developed a consistent visual identity across the website, email marketing and promotional materials.
As the brand grew, I established partnerships and collaborations that expanded its reach, secured retail opportunities through independent retailers including Pavement, and online platforms such as Seekd, while also representing the brand at creative showcases where customers could experience the products in person
Impact
Be The Other has grown into a recognisable independent brand with a loyal community built around creativity, individuality and thoughtful design.
The brand has been featured in editorial publications, including Mayfair Times' Valentine's Guide 2026, Absolutely Kensington & Chelsea Hot List July 2021 and The Bite Magazine Autumn/Winter 2021 magazines, collaborated with like minded creatives, and built a growing presence through events and a curated retail space.
Most importantly, the project demonstrates my ability to take an idea from concept to reality, combining strategy, branding, product design, art direction and marketing to build a brand that connects with people emotionally as well as visually.
For me, Be The Other is more than a business. It's a creative playground that continues to challenge me, push my thinking and remind me why I love design in the first place.
